Rice 2026 on January 20, 2026 - "Rice planting methods", "Rice germplasm and breeding program" and "Land preparation"

On January 20, 2026, the international training program “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries 2026” a collaborative initiative by Kasetsart University (Kamphaeng Saen), JICA, and TICA continued with a focus on cultural exchange and advanced agricultural science. The day commenced with academic sessions on “Rice Germplasm and Breeding Programs” and “Rice Planting Methods” led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanate Malumpong, and a session on “Land Preparation” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tiwa Pakoktom. These lectures provided participants with essential knowledge on managing genetic resources, developing high-yield and climate-resilient rice varieties, and implementing agricultural mechanization to enhance production efficiency within their respective African regions.”
