A monitoring and evaluation mission on the implementation of the Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) under the course “Practical Solutions for Climate-Resilient Rice Production in Mozambique”

       Kasetsart University, through the Office of Extension and Training Kamphaeng Saen (OET.KPS.), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Krit Wanin, Vice President for Innovation and Social Engagement, together with a team of experts, conducted a monitoring and evaluation mission on the implementation of the Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) under the course “Practical Solutions for Climate-Resilient Rice Production in Mozambique” during 8–12 November 2025 in the Republic of Mozambique.TCTP trainees from the 2023 and 2025 cohorts have applied the knowledge gained from the training to their local areas in accordance with their Action Plans. The team also interviewed farmers in the field to exchange information and explore further collaborative development. In addition, a seminar titled “Post-TCTP Technical Refresher: Practical Solutions for Climate-Resilient Rice Production in Mozambique” was organized at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Maputo, with participation from various sectors, including former TCTP trainees, the Mozambique Institute of Agricultural Research (IIAM), and the Ministry of Agriculture of Mozambique. The seminar featured discussions on the role of Post-TCTP training, the impacts of climate change on rice production in Mozambique, group discussions, and the exchange of practical solutions to real challenges in the field.
 
       This mission reflects the ongoing cooperation among Thailand, Japan, and Mozambique in developing human resource capacity and strengthening food security in the African region through agricultural knowledge and sustainable rice production technologies—key contributions of Kasetsart University as a leader in agricultural expertise for international development.
