During the visit, the team followed up on the progress of participants from the 2023 training program, who have applied their knowledge to local practices in accordance with their Action Plans. The mission also included interviews with local farmers and discussions on advancing rice production knowledge to better suit local contexts.
On this occasion, the delegation also met and exchanged views with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kenya, and participated in a meeting with the JICA Kenya Office and the CARD Secretariat to discuss future directions for international collaboration and program expansion.
This follow-up mission plays a crucial role in evaluating the outcomes of the training program and in strengthening academic cooperation between Thailand and African countries, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the capacity for sustainable rice production.
