OETKPS Leads African Delegates to Global Warming Reduction Learning Center to Explore Low-Carbon Rice Farming and Value Addition
On February 16, 2026, the international training program “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries 2026,” a collaboration between OETKPS, Kasetsart University (Kamphaeng Saen), JICA, and TICA, conducted a comprehensive field study at the Global Warming Reduction Learning Center (Modern Large-Scale Agriculture, Eco-Friendly) in Doem Bang Nang Buat District. The excursion immersed delegates in environmentally friendly rice cultivation techniques through five key activity stations: land leveling, Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD), insect scouting, straw and stubble management, and fertilizer application based on soil analysis. Alongside these low-carbon production methods, participants engaged in a practical workshop on processing rice into crackers, acquiring end-to-end knowledge from sustainable cultivation to value creation. These integrated approaches serve as a crucial framework for establishing long-term, eco-conscious food security in the African region.
