OETKPS Trains Rice Production 2026 Delegates in Advanced Rice Processing to Create Modern Value-Added Food Products

On February 14, 2026, the international training program “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries 2026,” a collaboration between OETKPS, Kasetsart University (Kamphaeng Saen), JICA, and TICA, conducted an intensive workshop focused on value-added agricultural processing. The day began with a theoretical session titled “Rice Processing for Added Value,” led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jakrapong Pinyo, who shared comprehensive expertise on modern rice processing technologies. During the afternoon’s practical session, “Food Processing from Rice,” delegates engaged in hands-on activities to create innovative rice-based products, including naturally colored herbal rice, rice flour brownies, and rice flour bread. These practical techniques empower participants to utilize local ingredients effectively, offering a sustainable pathway to increase farmers’ incomes and enhance long-term food security across the African continent.
