OETKPS Leads Rice Production 2026 Delegates to Experience the "Spirit of Thai Farmers" and the King's Philosophy at Na Hia Chai

On February 13, 2026, the international training program “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries 2026,” a collaboration between OETKPS, Kasetsart University (Kamphaeng Saen), JICA, and TICA, took delegates on an inspiring field study to the Learning Center of Thai Rice Farmers Lifestyle and Spirit (Na Hia Chai) in Suphan Buri province. Accompanied by Course Supervisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanate Malumpong, the visit focused on transferring local wisdom by exploring traditional Thai farming lifestyles and comprehensive rice cultivation processes. A profound aspect of the study was learning about the agricultural initiatives of King Rama IX, specifically the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) through New Theory Agriculture. Participants further immersed themselves in these sustainable practices through hands-on activities, including traditional rice transplanting and cultivating organic vegetables, empowering them to apply this enduring wisdom to foster sustainable food security in the African region.
