Third Country Training Program (TCTP) - Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries : Day 1

       On January 9, 2025, the Kamphaeng Saen Promotion and Training Office and the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, in collaboration with the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), held the opening ceremony for the international training program under the Third Country Training Program (TCTP). The course, titled “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries,” is aimed at agricultural officials from five African countries: The Gambia, Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Uganda. A total of 15 participants are attending the program.

       The ceremony took place at the Hong Hern Room, National Agricultural Promotion and Training Center, Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Nakhon Pathom Province. Dr. Kanyarat Chiewvech, Director of the Kamphaeng Saen Promotion and Training Office, delivered an overview of the project. The ceremony was honored by Dr. Damrong Sripharam, Vice President for Administration and Carbon Neutrality, who presided over the opening of the training. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krit Wanin, Vice President for Innovation and Social Affairs, also welcomed the participants.

       This training program will run from January 8 to February 14, 2025.
