The Office of Extension and Training, Kamphaeng Saen Advances Rice Production 2026 Course, Emphasizing "Land Preparation and Climate" as Key Factors for Quality Rice

On January 26, 2026, the international training program “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries 2026,” a collaborative effort by Kasetsart University (Kamphaeng Saen), JICA, and TICA, conducted a practical training session to strengthen foundational knowledge in rice cultivation. The activities commenced with a laboratory session on “Land Preparation,” led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tiwa Pakoktom, who lectured and demonstrated proper soil preparation techniques and the appropriate selection of agricultural machinery. Subsequently, the curriculum integrated these concepts into the “Plant Climate for Rice Production” module, where participants collaborated with the Nakhon Pathom Meteorological Station to study weather and meteorological data affecting rice growth. This critical information equips participants to effectively plan their cultivation strategies, ultimately aiming to enhance and sustain rice yields across the African region.
