Third Country Training Program (TCTP) – Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries: Day 27

       On February 13, 2025, the Kasetsart University Extension and Training Office, Kamphaeng Saen, hosted the closing ceremony and certificate presentation for the international training program “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries.”

       A total of 15 agricultural officers from **five African countries—The Gambia, Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Uganda—**successfully completed the program. The ceremony took place at Hong Hern Room, National Agricultural Extension and Training Center.

       Dr. Kanyarath Chiaowetch, Director of the Kasetsart University Extension and Training Office, Kamphaeng Saen, delivered the closing report, while Associate Professor Dr. Krit Wan-In, Vice President for Innovation and Social Engagement, presided over the event.

       The ceremony was honored by the presence of Lieutenant Sornwut Preedidilok, Minister-Counsellor at the Royal Thai Embassy in Helsinki, representing the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Ms. Hagiwara Makiko, Representative of JICA Thailand Office. They congratulated the graduates and expressed gratitude to Kasetsart University for organizing the Third Country Training Programme (TCTP), which serves as a platform for sharing Thailand’s knowledge, experience, and advancements in rice production technology.

       The speakers emphasized their hope that participants would apply their newfound expertise to enhance rice production quality across Africa.

       To conclude, Mr. Alibu Simon from Uganda represented the trainees in delivering a heartfelt speech, expressing deep appreciation to all organizations involved in supporting this impactful training initiative.
