The “Fostering Innovation: Empowering Southern Tagalog Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research, Development and Extension Consortium (STAARDEC)’s Regional Research and Development Coordinating Council (RRDCC) Members, Respective Alternates, and the Consortium Secretariat through Engagement with Thailand’s R&D Institutions in the Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources (AANR) Sector,” taking place from August 26th to 30th, 2024, aims to enhance the capabilities of the STAARDEC members and their key stakeholders by facilitating direct engagement with leading research and development institutions in Thailand’s Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources sectors. This program will provide participants with an opportunity to exchange knowledge and collaborate on innovative solutions to common challenges faced in these sectors.
Attendees will visit Thailand’s top R&D institutions, where they will observe cutting-edge research, explore sustainable practices, and discuss how to apply these insights to improve local agriculture, aquaculture, and natural resource management in Southern Tagalog. The training will focus on fostering collaboration, strengthening institutional ties, and promoting the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that can drive progress in the region. Additionally, it will serve as a platform for building long-term partnerships, sharing best practices, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of research and development efforts in the region’s agricultural and natural resource sectors. By the end of the engagement, participants will be equipped with practical knowledge and strategies to foster innovation and improve the sustainability and productivity of their respective sectors.
