OETKPS Empowers African Delegates with International Rice Grain Quality Standards and Practical Testing

On February 12, 2026, the international training program “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries 2026,” a collaborative initiative by OETKPS, Kasetsart University (Kamphaeng Saen), JICA, and TICA, underscored the critical importance of product standard control. The day commenced with a lecture titled “The Standard of Rice Grain Quality” delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanate Malumpong, which established a strong foundational understanding of international rice quality criteria. This theoretical knowledge seamlessly transitioned into the practical “Rice Grain Quality Test” workshop. During this session, delegates engaged in hands-on training to accurately inspect and measure rice quality using standardized tools and methodologies. By mastering these evaluation techniques, participants are well-equipped to develop and implement rigorous quality control processes in the African region, ensuring their agricultural outputs meet accepted international standards while advancing sustainable food security.
