OETKPS Intensifies Plant Protection Training with Rice Disease and Insect Pest Management for African Delegates
On February 10, 2026, the international training program “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries 2026,” a collaboration between OETKPS, Kasetsart University (Kamphaeng Saen), JICA, and TICA, focused on intensive plant protection strategies. The session commenced with “Rice Disease Diagnosis and Disease Control,” led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chainarong Rattanakreetakul and Dr. Pisut Keawmanee, who lectured on the accurate identification and management of rice diseases. The training then seamlessly transitioned to pest management in the module “Rice Insect Pest and Its Control + IPM,” conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sopon Uraichuen and Dr. Sunittra Aupanun. These sessions were specifically designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approaches, which are essential for safeguarding crop yields and establishing sustainable food security across the African region.
