Welcome Japanese Evaluation Team under Thai-Japan Cooperation Project on “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries” courses
The Office of Extension and Training Kamphaeng Saen welcomes Japanese Evaluation Team under Thai-Japan Cooperation Project.
On June 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, the Office of Extension and Training, Kamphaeng Saen, Kasetsart University, extended a warm welcome to an evaluation team from Japan. The team visited to observe and assess the progress of the Third Country Training Programme (TCTP), a collaborative effort under the Japan-Thailand Partnership Program (JTPP) between the Thai and Japanese governments.
The TCTP course, titled “Rice Production Technologies for Food Security and Sustainability of African Countries,” is managed by the Office of Extension and Training, Kamphaeng Saen. It focuses on transferring agricultural knowledge, particularly rice production technologies, to promote food security and sustainability in African countries.
The evaluation team from the International Development Center of Japan (IDCJ), commissioned by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), participated in site visits and interviews with project stakeholders. Dr.Kanyarat Chiewvech, Director of the Office; Assoc.Prof.Chukiat Ruksorn, Course Advisor; Assoc.Prof.Chanate Malumpong , Course Coordinator; and Ms.Nopporn Lertprasert, Project Coordinator, welcomed the team and provided information.
The objective of this evaluation is to summarize project outcomes, extract operational lessons learned, and develop systematic evaluation guidelines. This assessment will be based on the six DAC (OECD-DAC Evaluation Criteria): Relevance, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Impact, Sustainability, and Coherence.
The Office of Extension and Training, Kamphaeng Saen, remains committed to expanding its role as Thailand’s agricultural knowledge hub, while strengthening international cooperation to support global sustainable development.
