ICT for Teaching and Learning

The Executive Center for Development Programs, The Office of Extension and Training, Kamphaeng Saen, Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Thailand is conducting a course on ICT for Teaching and Learning to be held on 3rd-10th August,2025.

Introduction and Objectives
Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), which is a set of techniques ad devices based on new technological tools and the different supports and channels of information and communication, as well as the process of obtaining, sorting, processing, and transmitting information digitally. To these days, ICT is already a fundamental tool for teachers and students in the classroom. The use of ICT is so widespread in society that classroom should not be less, and they must ensure that they take advantage of what they can bring us. However, children and young people must be taught to use them cautiously and safely. As educator, we are responsible to gradually implement the use of all technologies that may favor student learning and guiding learners how to use it wisely. Use ICT to promote better and innovative instruction and faster.
This program aims for the participants to gain knowledge, theoretical or practical, on how is ICT be used in the classroom. Specifically, the participants can be able to acquire learning and skills in the following:
● Basic principles on management of ICT in schools;
● Essentials to effectively and safely manage students using ICT;
● ICT for qualitative improvement and sustainability of learning
● Operations of LAN, and the role and function of each of the hardware and software components;
● Best practice management of ICT Learning Centers
● ICT Workshop (Email, Google form, Google Classroom, etc.)
● ICT in Pedagogy
● Tools for ICT in Pedagogy
● Digital Content as supplementary reading materials (MS Power point, Blogger)
● Project- based Learning/Workshop
● Teachers for today; Leadership in teaching
At the end of the program, the participants should be able to come up with an action plan on how they can implement what they have learned in the program. Such plan should be feasible for application in their own context.
